2315 Cropsey Avenue between 23rd Avenue and Bay 34th Street

Fire on the 1st floor of a 4 story MD

L166 FAST

Division 8 and Rescue 5 on the BK frequency responding

BC42 to BK: Fire apartment is A4 on the 1st floor, using All-Hands. 60x80 class 3 OMD. We have 2L/S, 1L/O. Searches are underway. DWH.

BC42 to BK: Box 3472, MBFKD, primaries on the floor above are negative, primaries in the fire apartment are going to be delayed due to clutter. 12 min duration.

BC42 to BK: Can we get an extra truck due to clutter condition (TL161)

Div. 8 to BK: Primaries in the fire apartment are negative, DWH. 20 min duration.

Div. 8 to BK: Secondaries on the 2,3,4 floors negative. Secondaries in the fire apartment will be delayed due to clutter. Under Control. 36 min duration.

That might actually be TL-161 administrative district. Funny how that works. And its all over the city where you inspect buildings where you are 4th or 5th due
 
^^^^^^^ Very true as far as Response Areas as opposed to Administrative Areas....(just two quick ones off the top of my head ) there is an area in QNS where the Administrative Unit is doing Building Inspection in their normally 3rd Alarm Response Area...... & another where the Administrative BN would not even respond to a Fire there on a "Postcard"......this has been discussed with Staff thru the years but the bottom line is unless ALL the BI boundaries & FH locations were re done (which is impossible) there is no answer & it only gets worse as more & more bldg construction takes place in previously undeveloped or underdeveloped low density areas of NYC.
 
When I was in 217-2 we had no district and went to the companies that were most behind in their inspections in the division. In some cases it was basically like being out of service for a few hours.
