@1725: 10-75-226 by Bn. 35 for a fire at 107 Havemeyer Street, near Hope Street, Williamsburg Section of Brooklyn.

Normal assignment: Engines 221, 216, 229     Ladders 104, 108  Bn. 35

Ladder 146 (fast truck), Squad 252, Rescue 2, Div. 11, Engine 229

@1729: 75-226: Bn. 35 reports using all hands for a fire on the 6th floor of an OMD.  Exposures: 1- street, 2- similar, 3- unknown, 4- similar.  RAC 2 assigned.

Engine 230 assigned due to long stretches.

@1732: Bn. 35: main body of fire knocked down, primary search in the fire apartment is negative except for the main fire area.

@1737: Bn. 35: primary search of the fire apt. and adjacent apts. is complete and negative, fire is probably will hold.  Fire duration is 17 minutes.

Yep, and because of that, back in the old days many engine companies had hosewagons. Some like E209, E211, & E230 had hosewagons going into the early 1970's.
