I was wondering why the high rise pack and Scott pack for on a water rescue?

Was wondering the same thing, what is the standpipe hose used for in this case? Sure there is a reason.
I DNK about the Scott; but, I have Heard of LDH used as a Lifeline in Water Rescues.
It Appears as though ESU Sqd.1 'Got Wet'. Their Qtrs. @ 13 Pct; 230 E.21 & 2nd Ave.;
Often seen on Radio Patrol from 20 St. down to WTC & Financial District ('10 House' Area)
frequently S. of 14th/' Alphabet City', River-to-River.

In Boston we have fire hose that can be inflated with air and used for flotation, I’m not certain about FDNY but the mask can be used to fill the hose line with air from the cylinder.
