memorymaster, I was as baffled as you were as to how there was a restaurant in there even after seeing what appeared to be a "Todays specials" on the chalkboard in the first picture above.

Best tacos I’ve ever had were when I lived In Texas.they were located at a small grill in and super old chevron station. I bet the food is/was really good, sad. Hate to see hardworking people’s businesses destroyed
Like you, Dave, the best Mexican food I ever had was in a little hole in the wall restaurant in the Hispanic section of Del Rio, Texas. Young man and his mother ran it . . . and the food was awesome. Flautas, chimighangas, enchiladas . . . I'd give my eye teeth to find something like that again.

Same thing, it was. Small family that owned it. If I think about it, the best food have been from family run businesses. Even restaurants
