B 35 using all hands for multiple manholes exploding with active fire at 176 Maujer Street, near Humboldt Street.

Should be: E 216, 206, 229  L 108, 104  B 35            (assignment might be different: other manhole incidents in area)
         
10-75: E 238, L 102 FT, SQ 252, R 2, B 57, D 11

@1325: B 35 reports four manholes involved.

@1330: B 35: have several bldgs on Maujer with CO readings of 400 PPM, bldgs are being evacuated.

Relocations: L 118/104, L 136/108, E 239/238, E 325/206.

@1333: B 35: have Fire and Ice respond.

@1335: B 35: 215 Maujer: 300 PPM; 217 Maujer: 600 PPM, vented; 221 Maujer: sparking inside

@1338: D 11 is 10-84.

@1340: SQ 1 responding with Fire and Ice.

D 11 advised EMS staging at Grand & Humboldt Streets: HAZ TEC Ambulance responding.

@1350: D 11: ConEd is on scene, Fire and Ice is on scene, have evacuated about 25 people from 3 bldgs.

@1411: D 11: Fire and Ice put in manhole, fire has ceased.

@1420: D 11: fire under control, CO levels have dropped.
 
Thanx, Mike, it helped a lot.  I hadn't heard about this stuff. But the articles you referenced don't explain how it's used.  Is it drawn into the stream through the foam system?  Come in 5 gallon cans like foam concentrate?  Carried by the Squads?  Sounds like it is really useful for manhole fires. 
 
I know some companies have been given little containers about 6 ounces that is mixed into a 2 1/2 gallon can and then can be used.
