For what it is worth, my father was born directly across the street, and I mean born at home in the upstairs 2d floor bedroom at 2495 Cambreleng Ave, in a house owned by my great grandmother. It still stands today. I held my breath as I began to read this incident, hoping it was not my “ancestral manor” that went up in flames. That tough ol’ Irishman went on to serve nearly 20 years in 88/38, first due at 3349, truly his “home box”.
