On Tuesday, August 22, just after 8:00 a.m., South Metro received multiple phone calls stating a garage and tree was on fire with active flames and spreading to the next house. Ladder 12 was first on scene and quickly pulled a 2.5 inch line to the garage, tree and fence line between two homes. A primary search was completed for both homes, checking for any extensions and hot spots. The fire was contained to the garage area of the first home and single tree and attic space of the second home.
One person was evaluated and released on scene. No other injuries occurred. The SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Thank you to Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office for assisting.
