Continued Rest in Peace to Lt. Carpluk and F/F Reilly. Continued thoughts and prayers for their families at home and on the job.
 
Sprinklers required in this cellar would have solved the problem and prevented the death of these 2 great firefighters. May Lt. H and Mike continue to rest in Peace. I am told that a Con Edson soil vacuum unit was used to remove debris from the cellar to speed up the process of finding both Howard and Mike.
Sadly, it was too late to save these great firefighters. My they continue to rest in God's loving hands. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired.
