"Back in the day"... There's a Catholic church two blocks away and "back then" the pastor would have been at the scene to offer succor, the sacraments as needed and whatever help he could have. He also would have been rousting the parish to turn out to help the victims. What a tragedy that those days are gone. Believe me, I saw it when I was growing up. What a shame.
