8 perish in Chicago fire

Eight persons, two adults and six children, perished in an early morning fire on Chicago's SW Side @ Cermak and Sacramento Streets. Fire was reported at 4AM and was escalated to a 2-11 and an EMS plan. Two other children are in serious/critical condition at local hospitals. The deceased were all found on the second floor of the 2 story coach house.

The 2 remaining victims have both died. Parental neglect is now being investigated by DCFS.
