In the CIDS it stated.... 1 3/4" hand stretch via hallway windows.
I am confused by that. Does that mean bring the hose in via the hallway windows at the end of the halls? Or does it mean there is a shaft inside the building with windows on each floor? Any thoughts.... ?

If a bottle stretch is used the Hoseline must be pulled into a hall window on the floor below the Fire then up the Attack Stair.... NEVER pulled into a window on the Fire Floor as the Hoseline must lead to a way out....in this case to the Stair & Floor Below.

Bottle stretches, usually flushed out Clorox bottles, where widely used back in the days of vacant buildings. It was much safer to drop the bottle and pull up the line then to stretch up broken or missing stairs. Also it alleviated the problem of walking over lines when you had to stretch many lines into one building.
