I knew and worked with both of these ladies at one time or another. Every time I look a person from the past pops up as having died from WTC. God rest them all, EMS, FD, PD and all others who were involved with "The air is clean to breath" farce.

It is with deep regret the Department announces the passing of Retired Firefighter Peter A Chiodo, Engine Company 226, who succumbed to his WTC related illness on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Firefighter Chiodo served our great department for 25 years. He is survived by his spouse JoAnn; daughters: Samantha and Jessica; as well as several extended family and friends.
The following arrangements have been confirmed:
Visitation: Thursday, December 01, 2022
2:00pm - 4:00 pm
7:00pm - 9:00 pm
Colonial Funeral Home

Mass of Christian burial: Friday December 02, 2022

RET BC Brian O’Flaherty Bn-9/Safety Battalion WTC Related

It has been reported, on other sites, that retired BC Brian O'Flaherty has passed away due to WTC related illness. Chief O'Flaherty was a former Captain of Rescue 1.

May he Rest in Peace. May his families at home and on the job be comforted.

REST IN PEACE BROTHER......THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BOTH MILITARY (US NAVY) & FDNY......many memories of Brian thru the years ......running in with him when he was a LT in 102 & the CPT of R*1 & when I covered there & later when I was a LT in SQ*41......I also got to spend some time & get some great tips on being a BC during my short time in BN*9 when he was assigned there as well as seeing him monthly at UFOA Meetings ....his Father was an FDNY Member KIA in WW2 & had been assigned to LAD*105 as a FF as had Brian.
