Really sorry to hear another alumni of 9-14-68 class is no longer with us. My condolences to his family and Rest In Peace brother.

21 years ago tomorrow I stood honor guard for Pete Ganci, ending his career on the day we started it.

Happy 54th to my 9-14- 68 brothers

From another site:

With regret, the Department announces the death of retired Firefighter Jerry J. Fargione appointed
January 24, 1959, retired July 2, 1981, formerly of L-132, residing in Suffolk County, NY, which occurred on
February 23, 2022.

Jerry was a long time member of L-132. A good man who gave us a lot of laughs and some great meals.

May he Rest in Peace and may his families at home and on St. Johns Place (The Eye Of The Storm) be comforted. You will be missed.

RET DC RICHARD RITTMEYER......REST IN PEACE BROTHER ......PRAYERS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE FAMILIES......From his Wife.. QUOTE..
It is with a heavy heart and many tears that I tell you of the passing of my Beloved Richie. He died on Saturday, October 1, 2022 of a massive stroke brought on by Covid. His wake is being held at the Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 East Main St, Shrub Oak, N.Y. 10588 on Saturday, Oct. 8th between 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. If you feel you want to do something in his remembrance, his favorite charity was Tunnel to Towers, t2t,org He was my Life, my Love and my Happiness. Bea

Can you get the word out for me to all members and former members of Ladder 31, Engine 82 notifying them of Richie’s death and funeral arrangements. Also how do I go about getting an honor guard of Fireman to stand watch over his cremated remains. Thank you so much for your help! Sincerely, Bea Rittmeyer UNQUOTE.
