Update About Fatal Apartment Fire at 1820 Spence Street:

BALTIMORE, MD (July 21, 2013)?Today, the Baltimore City Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in an apartment building at 1820 Spence Street. The fire was located in a second floor apartment, and was brought under control before it spread to other apartments in the building.

A female resident was found in a second floor apartment unresponsive. Firefighters carried her outside where paramedics performed CPR. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead at 3:04 p.m.

Two residents were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.


Update About Fatal Fire at 847 Park Avenue

BALTIMORE, MD. (JULY 22, 2013)?This morning, the Baltimore City Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in a four-story building at 847 Park Avenue. The first units on the scene reported heavy smoke and fire.

Fire fighters found two residents in the basement of the building. Both were transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

There are no other injuries to report at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
