Boston's really bringing in the multiples this year. First job of the month is a 4th, and they had another 4th last month.

Was Engine 9 on the Box?

Chiefs at the job are probably:

District 1, District 3, District 4, District 5, District 6, District 11
Division 1(C6)

Engine 4, Ladder 24 R.I.T.

District 11(Act.)

Heavy fire on the top floor of a brick multiple w/extension to Exposure B.

7 L/S/O's.

Sounds like a tough job.

14:42hrs. - Car 3 reporting 4 L/S/O's in the rear w/a portable deck gun.

Sounds like fire still going in the rear.

14:43hrs. - C6 transmitting a 5th Alarm for Box 6167 per orders of Chief Dunbar.

Location in East Boston, near Logan Airport.  4th alarm in Boston usually gets about:  11 engines, 5 trucks, 1 rescue, air suppy, field comm, district chief, 2nd alarm chief,  safety chief. network chief, RIT chief, deputy chief, PIO, plus other units.

14:45hrs. - Engine 52 responding the 5th Alarm for 331 Chelsea St. on Channel # 3.

Relocations: Tower Ladder 17-Ladder 2(long run).

14:47hrs. - Car 1 reporting several lines operating from Exposure B. Companies attacking fire. Command reporting main body of fire located in the main area of the building.

heavy fire on origianal fire building, lines on the exposures. Collapse of roof and side walls, companies making progress on the exposures. CP is behind L-21. All members of E56 OK

14:50hrs. - Command reporting heavy volume of fire in 330 Chelsea St. All companies working. Extension to Exposure D w/partial collapse of structure.

Sounds like Cambridge is covering.

mack is correct. A 5th in Boston usually gets 3 & 2 w/a Rescue and a Dist. on the Box, 1 & 1 w/a Dist. and the Rehab. Unit on the R.I.T./Rehab Assignment. 3 & 1 w/2 Dist's(1 for Act.), a Deputy, the Safety Chief, and the Air Supply Unit on the 2nd. 2 & 1 w/the Special Unit, Field/Tac. Comm. Unit, and a P.I.O. on the 3rd. 2 Engines on the 4th, and 2 & 1 on the 5th. Thus, 13 Engines, 6 Ladders, and 1 Rescue at least should be operating.

Nice to hear you Mack E-42 orders all members to evacuate because of structural collapse. E-4 is not in a good position, get them out!!!
