BFD Engine 33/Ladder 15 found a small electrical fire at around 11:30hrs. this morning in a 2nd floor office at Fenway, 4 Yawkey Way. Very quick k/d. I believe it was held to the Box. However, one article states that over $100,000 worth of damage was done due to smoke and water damage.

This is not the first time Boston's bravest have responded to fires at Fenway May 8 1926 a fire destroyed the left field bleachers. The owner at the time decided not to rebuild the bleachers which allowed left fielders to catch foul balls. In the early 1930's Tom Yawkey purchased the team and began a remodeling job. A construction crew overturned a salamander which caused nearby tarps to catch on fire. Construction crews tried to put the fire out but were unsuccessful. Box 2344 was transmitted at 1:04 by 1:24 it was a fifth alarm. Fenway Park suffered major damage along with several other buildings that were destroyed. The park did re-open for the season. By the way has anyone ever noticed a series of dots and dashes on the scoreboard. Those are the initials of Thomas Yawkey and his wife in morse code.
