The incident occurred around 6 p.m. The flames and smoke from the fire could be seen from I-95.

BFD dispatched back to the scene the next morning for what was reported as a “rekindle” of the previous day’s fire. Small fire in the third floor but units operated for some time.
In the old days in NYC heads would roll over any “rekindles”. It meant units had not done a proper overhaul. I’m not inferring anything here as I do not know the circumstances.
