Description Of Incident: Engine 3 o/s w/heavy fire showing from the 1st floor, "A" side of a 1.5-story wood-frame P/D w/exposure problems. Fire on the 2nd floor. 3 L/S/O's w/quick k/d. Ladder Companies opening up. All searches negative. One firefighter transported to Bridgeport Hospital by AMR for minor burns. No other injuries reported.

What kind of relocation does BFD do now?

This box assignment would leave Black Rock, West Side, Seaside, Downtown, lower East Side, with long runs for 6's, 10's and 12 to cover. Years ago E's 2, 5, 8, 9, 11 all filled in.
 
I think East Side companies might move to HQ to cover, but I'm not too sure and 16's might also come down to cover. When jobs get bumped up to 2nd and 3rd Alarms, Fairfield and Stratford go to HQ, 3-4's, and 10's, however, depending on where a fire is in the city, Fairfield comes in, since their Station 2 is close to 7-11's. However, I'm not completely sure. Perhaps a BFD guy here might know.
 
My son is a Lt on Fairfield Eng 2; he relocates a fair amount, usually to HQ and sometimes to 3-4s.  I do not believe they ever go to 7-11s.  Fairfield usually sends one engine and one ladder and they respond together to just about everything.
