Tragically, a member of Buffalo NY FF lost his life this morning in a 4 alarm fire in a commercial building. Buffalo TV Channel 7 has identified the fallen firefighter as a 37 year old from Engine 2. RIP brave warrior. May God watch over his family and help them and his firehouse family get through these next few days.

A very sad day for the Brothers and Sisters of the Buffalo Fire Department.

"When I am called to duty God, whenever flames may rage;
Give me the strength to save a life, whatever be it's age.
Or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me
To guard my neighbor and protect his property
And if according to your will I have to lose my life
Bless with your protecting hand my children and my wife."

RIP to our brother Buffalo Brother... Prayers to his family and his Buffalo FD Family.

I reach out to my brother and sister firefighters in Buffalo N.Y. May God's Love and Comfort be with his family and all his friends. When Captain John Dunn FDNY L-176 was killed in the Line of Duty back in the 1970s, the FDNY Dept. magazine W.N.Y.F. wrote the following: "If someone has nothing to give his life for it is because he stands for nothing." You have lots of brothers and sister waiting for you where all the Nobel dead go. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired
