Lt. just wondering if you were OTJ when they had the fire at the ZOO and lost all those animals ?
 
I went out in 2006 and not sure when the fire was, but I know my company didn't make the job if it happened while I was still in. Just looked it up on the net,,,happened in 1995 but I didn't make the job.
 
I was working in HQ at the time and arrived on the fireground in the morning.  It was a surreal scene.  Families huddled together.  Cause of the fire was determined to be electrical heat tracing tape used to wrap pipes.
