I"m not exactly sure what rigs they were running but they were a seperate Engine and Ladder that always responded together as one company with one officer. I believe the manning was four on each, which included the company officer. On the radio they would be referred to as "Combo 151" etc. I believe most were in Staten Island and a few in Queens. As I remember, the helmet fronts were half black and half red with the number in it. I don"t have that chart but I would sure like to know the Combo Companies that were listed, I think there were maybe ten altogether. I do believe they used the standard FDNY Engine and Ladder Appartus at the time.

They were CFC [Combined Fire Company]-121@ E-70 & TL-53 in City Island, Bronx; CFC-131@ E-151 & TL-76 in Tottenville, Staten Island; and CFC-151@ E-311 & TL-158 in Springfield Gardens, Queens. All three CFC's ran with a 1000GPM Rapid Water Mack CF  pumper and a 75 Ft. Mack CF Aerialscope. CFC-131 and CFC-151 were in service from 7/13/74 to 11/12/77. CFC 121 was in service from 8/24/74 to 7/02/75 when it temporarily was disbanded and reorganized as E-70. This was short-lived as CFC-121 was restored on 7/04/75 and remained in service until 11/22/75 when E-70 was made into a 2-piece company consisting of a regular engine and a telesquirt. They operated with those 2 pieces until Ladder 53 was re-organized on 5/20/86.
