Charlotte, NC FD Fleet Problems

Same story, fill the blank with department name. I wonder if their is a department in the country that is on top of maintenance, reserve rigs and adequate front line and hey throw in adequate staffing without runaway overtime? Anyone?

I'm just gonna guess to play along...Reedy Creek in FL? But only cause they're essentially owned by Disney, who essentially owns I'm guessing again here...65% of all money printed. I'm guessing they'll throw all the money at whoever needs it.

On the bright side, I see that the CFD has a bunch of orders in with Pierce for engines and ladders. The engine specs have a more northeast style body with side mounted ground ladders which is kind of cool to see in a southern department. I believe they also have a few tillers and mid-mount tower ladders on order too. I'd love to see them replace the current rescues with FDNY/DC style walk-in heavy rescues next.
