Dont have much on this but still companies pulled up on the scene (11:43) and immediately boxed it. and the 2-11 followed right after. 3-11 came in about 12:30.

Run Down:
Engines were: 23,39(on the STILL). 16, 49 (BOX). 28,50,19,8 (2-11). 123,84,109,65 (3-11).
Trucks were: 33,8 (STILL). 11 (was R.I.T.). TL 5 (BOX). 4,18,2, TL 39 (2-11) no trucks are sent on 3-11...
Chiefs: 15, 2, 4, 19, 18, 17 (unsure of assignment for all but 15 was first chief.
Other: Squad 1, Command van 2-7-1, Deputy district chief 2-2-5, 5-1-2 (HAZ-MAT), 4-9-2, 4-5-8, 4-6-4, 4-4-12, 5-1-0, 6-4-5, 6-4-4, 4-1-7, 2-1-24, 5-4-0, 4-4-7, 4-1-3, 4-6-2, 9-1-5, 2-1-12, 2-9-0.

Fire was through the roof of a meat packing Warehouse 1 story. A collapse zone was set up. The level 1 Haz-mat was called in due to ammonia tanks, animal fat, and Frion that were used in the warehouse.

Tower 5 and 39 set up for an exterior operation (surround and drown A.K.A WATER CARNIVAL) along with an ariel pipe from Trk 33, the snorkel from Squad 1, a deck gun, and multiple hand lines around the building.

3- 11 was struck out around 1:45 but companies continued to work for a few more hours.

Excellent photos  8) but I have a couple of questions;  1. I see a Tower with "E252" on the front, is that a spare rig?  2. I see E29 using a deck gun, where is E29 on the rundown?  3. You Chi-Town folks sure send a lot of White Hats (chiefs) on a Hazmat incident ;D ;)

the engines that are on the report were the engines that were sent if another engine like 29 went in service from another run and was closer during one of the alarm upgrades they could have been sent in and replaced another engine. E-252 is a Spare tower ladder. is was actually Tower Ladder 39. tower 39 has been out of service for about a year. and the spare rig e-252 sucks and loses power with the ladder up all the time. NOT SAFE.

Batt Chiefs wear the white to begin with, but most of the other chiefs that were there are different operations chiefs that don't have to respond but just show up. for a 3-11 the highest that i believe should be there is deputy commissioner. at the fire most of the deputy commissioners, THE commissioner, and alot of others showed up. they want to be able to show their authority and boss a few f.f. around
