CHRIS ENGELDRUM DEDICATION.

On Thursday June 13, 2013, a section of US Army Base, Fort Hamiliton, Brooklyn NY will be named and dedicated in honor of Firefighter Chris Engeldrum of Ladder Co 61 who while serving as a Staff Sergeant with the US Army (69th Infantry Regt, NYNG) was Killed in Action in Iraq. Chris was the 1st NYC Firefighter to die while on active duty since World War II. A total of 44 FDNY members have made the Supreme Sacrifice while serving with the United States Armed Forces.  The ceremony will take place at 10:30 am and all FDNY members are requested to attend in Uniform. The section of this Historic Army Base to be named in Chris's name is a field and bluff which overlooks the Verrazanno Narrows Bridge.  Please forward this request to all FDNY Members and friends in your address book.
