The 2024 Christmas Season is now upon us.
Many shop online during Cyber Monday
Or they may go to the big box stores and shop there, or order online early to make sure those Christmas gifts will be delivered on time.
But for some of us more senior members, Christmas was so much different than it is today.
We remember as kids of the 1950s, 60s, 70s and even 1980s of a very different time.
I remember as a young kid Santa Clause going to each house in the neighborhood and telling us to be good.
Santa (played by a brother to a neighbor) would ask us what we wanted.
Not knowing to me, my parents left one small gift that I wanted on the front porch to give me from his big Santa Clause bag.
WOW - when I got that "I just could not believe it".
How did Santa know ?
I guess he read my letter I wrote to him up in the North Pole.
