Cincinnati 3-Alarm High-Rise Fire

Happening now (2:00am EST), a 3-Alarm fire in a high-rise apartment building in the College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. Heavy smoke in the building. Numerous victims, currently 8 medics assigned to the fire. Multiple people in wheelchairs, trapped in building. Many victims are sheltering in place, some with firefighter assistance. One transported so far, at least one more needs to be transported, others can be treated on scene.

An additional Engine and Ladder have been requested on top of 3rd alarm. Many residents are sheltering in place on balconies. Three transported so far.

7 residents and 2 firefighters had to be taken to the hospital. One resident had serious injuries, all others were minor. All are expected to be okay.

Firefighters on the scene say the fire started on the first floor. However, smoke rose throughout the high-rise building.
