Cincinnati Fire Department responded Saturday to a bus on fire in front of the Cincinnati Association for The Blind and Visually Impaired in the Walnut Hills neighborhood. A full 1-Alarm Structure Fire compliment was sent to scene. Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames using just a few Engines. There was no extension to the building and there were no injuries. While working the incident the fourth due engine (E29) was sent to investigate reports of smoke in the nearby Mt. Adams neighborhood. Both the dispatcher and incident commander believed that the smoke was likely from the bus fire and Engine 29 found nothing to the contrary. Another call came in from the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood about smoke coming from the woods, that too was determined to likely be from the bus fire.

Crews dispatched: Engine 3, Engine 5, Engine 23, Engine 29 (Safety), Ladder 23, Ladder 29, Ladder 19 (RAT), Heavy Rescue 14, Medic 23, Medic 19, ALS 34, District 1, District 4, Safety Officer 2
