Collapse Rescue Rigs

I caught Rescue 5 with collapse Rescue the other day, any idea if those collapse rescue rigs are due for replacement soon?

Was put in for it last year. Wasn’t approved.

RC -1 ,2 & 4 I believe are from 2005 ….so still a little time. RC-3&5 are only few years olds.

On a side note; nice to see R5 is back running the new frontline rig. It was OOS for an extended period of time while awaiting parts/repairs from a small incident.

The 2005's are around 17 years old already... should be due for replacement. Wouldn't be surprised if the department did all 5 at once though.

Was put in End of Last year for replacement of all 5. Wasn’t approved.

For how big the boros are for sure! Traffic in NYC is still a thing

They will do all 5 at once. They’re simple walk-around rescues; much easier to spec than engines. Side note: the 2020 Ferrara rescues are all over the place. They’ve been in and out of service again and again in the time they’ve been in NYC.
