How come they went away from the new style Vector light bars like on some of the new tower ladders?

Good question. all the newer Towers Tillers and Pumpers and Squads had them, But this latest batch of rearmounts have these type.

 
It's not been placed into service yet.  Others that have come in after it are already in service.  Just wondering why.
 
The new Ferrara aerial ladders are now equipped with the Whelen Edge Freedom IV F4R Rota-Beam Series Lightbars rather than the Federal Signal Vision LED Lightbars that are coming on the KME pumpers and Seagrave/Aerialscope tower ladders.  They both look good, I guess Whelen made them an offer they couldn't refuse.
 
Passed by the quarters of L109 in Bay Ridge Brooklyn on Thurs 5/25 and saw their new Ferrara placed in service.
 
I saw Ladder 147 the other night and it looked like there Tiller was very OLD are they getting a new one?
 
Saw Tower Ladders 172 and 17 on the NJ Turnpike NB near Elizabeth at 0545 hrs today/ Are they new deliveries or return from Seagrave service?

TL17 has been in service for a while, their first big job with it was the Self-Storage Warehouse multiple a few weeks ago.
 
17 is in a spare which happens to be their old rig.  Saw them at a job on Friday morning
 
It's been 8 months since Ferrara put up the photo of Ladder 167 on their deliveries page.  I think I saw Ladder 167's regular truck in someone's video in a yard waiting to be sold.  They have been using really old beat up trucks for months now.  Did something happen to their new Ferrara or is it normal to take this long to go into service?  Anybody know?
