A massive fire in Compton engulfed a pallet yard as flames extended to nearby homes, prompting authorities to evacuate the surrounding area.

That's the second big pallet yard to go up in Compton in the past couple months. No homes were destroyed in the last one, but a bunch of motor coaches parked on an adjoining property burned.
