On Friday night June 2nd around 2330 hours a 600 foot long Chicken raising building on Bishop Lane was fully involved in fire destroying all the birds inside. This is just one more in a long list of food related facilities that have burned in this country during the current administration. The Cumberland FD responded with 5 pieces of apparatus and were assisted by the Randolph District FD with 3 pieces of apparatus. Several exposures were threatened but firefighters managed to keep them protected. CFD left the scene around 0245 hrs. Saturday.
