Deer Cross Staten Island EXPWY Force Closing of VNB

[FDNYSTATENISLAND]

Deer leaped onto the Staten Island Expressway forcing it to close. The Verrzanno-Narrows Bridge span was also closed due to traffic backup.

NYPD ESU members shot deer with tranquilizers and transported to safe location.

Quite the commotion.

Governor Christie was responsible for the deer jumping on the Expressway, causing a major traffic back-up and the VN Bridge to shut down.

And he has fired the deer, who was a high ranking member of his campaign staff.

At the junction of 440 and the Richmond Parkway, by the "Park & Ride", between 2 and 4 in the morning they are all over the place. Also Arthur Kill Road north of the Outerbridge has many deer also.
