Photo of the one of a kind '96 E ONE HUSH Pumper.....
Photo of the unaccepted "HUSH" Pumper ....field tested by 4 Units....290...275...64 & ? around 1995..... www.ebay.com/itm/New-York-City-Engine-290-1996-Emergency-One-pumper-Fire-Apparatus-Slide/373484985190?hash=item56f5709b66:g:RewAAOSw97RgQYi0
the crew cab was completly open side to side since the engine was under the hose bed thus the name "HUSH" since it was quieter in the cab however major engine work required stripping the hose bed .

The Xerox fire Brigade here in Webster is still running their Hush. I pumped on it once at the PSTF but I honestly don't recall the cab configuration but it does have the full upper and lower compartments on the chauffeurs side.  A pretty interesting concept that never really caught on.

Is it the actual pumper or just a photo? I saw a thread somewhere that the pumper was sitting in a field in the west somewhere
