I know that Charollette and 170 St was the most famous and therefore probadly the busiest. I think it was box 2780 (?). What was once an area of six story burned out apartment buildings is now a neighborhood of single family raised ranch houses with yards and picket fences.

dennis smoth should write a book about that neighborhood and firehouse now. its amaing how they have changed over the years. how the poor move around and how fire follows them. probably will never be another time like that again but the northeast bronx like wakefield which was once a quiet area is now a hot fire area while 82/31 have slowed down drastically.
