East Rockaway NY (Nassau) Marine Incident 8/9/22

This evening the East Rockaway Fire Department was alerted for a person in the water in vicinity of Cedar Island south of Bay Park. A Command Post was established at the Helwett Point Yatch Club and Marine 17 responded to the incident location. Upon arrival into the area, Marine 17 and TOH Bay Constables discovered a body floating in the water. Units remained on scene untill a NCPD Marine Unit arrived to retrieve the body and conduct their investigation.
