The Edison Division of Fire is a combination Fire Department with a total complement of 134 Career and 85 Volunteer Firefighters and Officers. Career personnel are assigned to 6 Fire Stations throughout the Township with 32 on duty personnel 24 hours / 365 days a year, utilizing 7 Fire Pumpers, 2 Aerial Trucks, 1 Rescue and 4 support vehicles. The Volunteer Fire Companies respond from 4 Fire Stations utilizing 3 Fire Pumpers, 2 Brush Trucks and 9 support vehicles. The Division responded to 2,925 calls for service in 2013 including 70 structure fires, 56 Rescues, 154 vehicle accidents and 414 First responder medical calls.
