Excellent article. Thanks for posting it. Does anyone know if the building to the right of 23’s quarters was ever a firehouse? It sure looks like it could have been.

Spent 6yrs as Captain of 23 engine . It was a beautiful house even before the renovation.The men took pride in keeping it clean.
No the building next door was a carriage house.

Good article seem like a long time the renovations took remember detail there 2004 and had scaffolding out front & detailed for tour in 2015 scaffolding still there.
