A Very large brush fire with many houses as exposures. Several neighborhoods evacuated. Initial response: Exeter, Carolina, Hope Valley. Mutual aid: engine from Westerly, engine from Watch Hill, engine and tanker from Ashaway, brush truck and tanker from North Stonington (CT). North Kingston and Charlestown. ATV and manpower from Pawcatuck (CT). One engine from Stonington Borough for coverage at Westerly. One engine from Quiambaug to Pawcatuck. Both Stonington Borough and Quiambaug into the scene. Tankers from Poquetanuck, Gales Ferry, Lyme, Old Lyme, and Franklin (all CT) respond to the scene. Mystic relocate one engine to Westerly. Old Mystic relocate one engine to Ashaway. Poquonnock Bridge relocate one engine to Westerly. All of southern Rhode Island and southern New London County (CT) on scene or relocated.
