It has been confirmed that AFFF has caused cancer among those who used it in the past. Among the cancers due to this exposure are; Prostrate, Kidney, Pancreatic, and Testicular cancer.
It has also been reported that both "3M" and "Dupont" were aware of this at the time but continued to make it available.
