Fairmount Township, Luzerne County PA 2 Alarm Structure Fire 6/24/24

Units dispatched to Bethel Hill Road for a possible structure fire. 131 Chief arrived on scene to find a 1 story cabin, heavy fire throughout, exposure 3 igniting into a brush fire, possible explosion as the cause. 131 Chief requested a 2nd Alarm upon arrival with the addition of the 1st Alarm Back Mountain Tanker Task Force. 121-Engine special called for manpower and a tanker fill site (they are a paid department). 2 master streams and 8 L/S/O. Units operated for approximately 6 hours on an exterior attack. Structure collapsed shortly into incident. Nothing left of the structure except the basement and a fireplace.
