Mount Vernon Fire Department is currently using a FDNY rearmount, ex Ladder 56.
Any pictures? Is it the 2002 one? Did the FDNY keep the 9/11 Seagrave medallion on the front between the grill and the front windows?

I don't know what the usual truck is, but this is a loaner from FDNY according to what is posted on the Mount Vernon facebook page.

FDMV had a failure of L-2's aerial at a fire recently so its OOS. They also ordered a Pierce Ascendant TL demo unit. Not sure if that is to replace the Aerialscope or as a 2nd frontline TL. That will be FDMV's 4th new Pierce this year (they already took delivery of 2 engines and a rescue).

If they designated the loaner from FDNY as L1 does that mean both of their Ladders are OOS
