FDNY 150 Ladder truck

for what its worth, my guess is,  it will probably end up at the rock being used for training purposes and who knows, it might even be a parade piece for a special event.

You would've thought that for something this important and visible to the public they would've put it on a brand-new rig instead of a recycled one!  Seems like you want to put your best foot forward.

Does it make sense to spend a million dollars on a new rig that will probably never be used? Or use a truck that had issues that then got a new paint job etc? Let's be reasonable

Or they could have purchased a new rig with standard paint and trim and then wrapped it for the anniversary. Then removed the wrap and placed it into service.

Reminds you of the rigs painted for the 1976 Bi-Centennial:

I think Bulldog meant buy a new rig with the decorative 150 anniversary murals like SQ61 and L10 have murals and then place it in service after the celebration period is over.
Exactly!  I was thinking more along the lines of truck 10 after 9/11, it was a highly decorated piece of apparatus yet it still serves front-line status.

I  wish  they  made  the  top  cab  white like  the others.  Think  it  would  stand  out  more.  not  to  mention  red  white  blue.

Also  after  150  year  is  over  may  they  should  send  it  to  Ladder  Co.  150  as  is.    their  rig  will  be  @  lO  years  old  and  everything.    Go  figure.
And I wish you would post in black, not red. Just sayin'. Thank you.

the majesterium1 just posted a video of the newly delivered 150th anniversary ambulance that was recently delivered.
