Modified by the members of E 88.

E-88 & L-38 have always taken a lot of pride in their rigs.

I've also heard that to be true. And I've also heard that they also take great pride in their firehouse and it has a repetation as being one of the cleanest in the city.

88/38 tradition goes back to the "War Years" and some members who were very talented at "pimping" their rides. That tradition branched out when E72 was organized from a disbanded E88(2).

I believe the stars on 38s Rig had to do with a longtime LT there Leo F. being an aide to Gen Patton in WW2.

Lt. Leo F.    Never met him but he was a WWII vet and then did 40 years of heavy fire duty.
