From the FDNY Facebook page:
On Wednesday, August 18, 51 members of the FDNY Incident Management Team traveled to Missoula, Montana to help support the containment of wildfires affecting our National Forests. With the country in a busy fire season with diminished and limited resources, the FDNY was ordered to support and assist the US Forest Service with a blended team at the American Fork Fire, Woods Creek Fire, and the Balsinger Fire. A 2003 Cooperative Wildland Fire Response Management Agreement between the US Forest Service and the FDNY allows the FDNY All-Hazard Team to operate in other jurisdictions.
