It's interesting that the Post does not identify the EMT as an FDNY member. In the field, is a Suppression Lieutenant considered a supervisor of an EMS EMT?

It's possible EMT was not FDNY, there are quite a few other ambulances in the city from hospitals and other sources.

I would love to see the next time the ‘media’ interviews a Firefighter after a rescue they mention their salary. The money paid for rescuing a life and putting their lives on the line. Never going to happen so maybe the Firefighter should say it!

I don't think that, just that the officer reacted in a way that he shouldn't so something provoked that response.
