Just curious if anyone has knowledge, but I seem to recall a show about 9/11 where they were discussing Captain Hatton of R-1 and I believe they said he was selected by either the Mayor or FC for that spot. Does this hold true today? Is the Captain's spot in the Rescue Co.'s appointed by the Mayor or FC? Thanks
