So terribly sad. These videos, although only showing rigs/emergency vehicles responding, are hard to watch, knowing that many if not most or all of the guys riding on them would never come back.
Also, it was during a shift change and many companies had extra guys riding on them. Rescue 1, for example, was supposed to have I believe a crew of I think 6, but ended up with 10 as the call came in during the morning shift change. And to think that no one riding Rescue 1 that morning returned. The same went for many, many other companies that tragic day.
From the videos, although Ladder 58 didn't lose anyone, Ladder 21(2nd vid) lost 6 guys in the South Tower.
