Despite repeated questioning and request for some type of answer, this group of fecking idiots now running FDNY just sat there and responded "we will look into it". "we have to defer to OMB", "we are unable to answer that question at this time".....when asked for an ESTIMATE on how much the addition of the fifth man would cost the city. One councilman said, " Cmon you now the answer you know how many fire engines there are, you know how many firehouses there are, and you know the salary and benefits cost of what a new firefighter makes, just give us an estimate." silence.....the Chair then admonished the FDNY staff including the commissioner as rude for not answering public officials. The next four years are going to be extremely rough for FDNY. My guess is that Comrade Lillian does not want the 5th man. Screenshot 2026-06-06 at 5.29.33 PM.png

This is the exact moment the Fire Commissioner realizes she is over her head and why did I get this job.

The City is broke, the tax base is fleeing, the pensions are all underfunded, how are they gonna pay for retirees medical insurance?

City Council should be asking: FDNY has decades of data regards fire protection; show us exactly how a fifth man will improve the lives of New Yorkers. This should include saved lives, decreased civilian injuries, decreased operating time, decreased insured fire losses, decreased insurance payments, and decreased business interruption losses.

FDNY main service line is Emergency Medical Service. Tell us how adding a fifth man on the engine will improve that business line.

Since the City is broke, please identify some areas where the overburdened taxpayers can save some money. Just kidding!
