FDNY Training Tips 2024-83: Safely Venting Glass

When I was a Firefighter, I was Filling in as a Chief Aide for FDNY's Battalion 4. We went to a Serious High-Rise Fire in the Financial District/Wall St. area of Lower Manhattan. Broken glass from the upper stories of the fire building pierced the Steel Roof of the Field Communications Unit, parked near the fire building and went right through the interior ceiling of the Field Com, Unit, Thank God no ONE was hit, it indeed could have been lethal. Many years ago, back when I was a teenager in the 1970's, I started getting WNYF.
I believe there was a picture of this. I do remember seeing this somewhere!!
