FDNY members responded to a 5-alarm fire at 137th St. and 3rd Ave., Bronx.

1957. That must have been one of the first Mack Cs covered in ice. The other rig is an American LaFrance.

Those ALF models used to be referred to as "Bathtubs."

The interesting find is the Popeyes Chicken sign about 18 seconds in!

ENG*9 above is one of the original "Bathtub" models in the FDNY (no Booster Line).....237 had a 1948 one In Service as their Rig .....around 1960 it broke down & sat in the back of their Qtrs for a long time while they used a '54 Ward CD Pumper as their Rig then around 1962 the "Bathtub" was finally repaired & went back In Service.

Those are 700 Model American Lafrance Engines and trucks, They were built 47-57.
